"Time Crime." 118.8cm by 38.1cm. Marker & Acrylic Paint on Canvas, 2019. |
In this artwork, I called attention to the progression of females and women's rights throughout history in America. This artwork is a timeline highlighting the milestones for the rights of women. This showcases the things women have accomplished, including women joining the workforce, women being able to vote, not being discriminated against because of possible leave of absence for children, and being allowed in combat positions in the US military.

“Bite Me” Studio markers, and collage on paper. W:21” x H: 20”

I created this artwork as a representation of my childhood. This artwork is based on the crazy things I would find in my basement. I was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, “The Starry Night” artwork and “The Great Wave” artwork created by Katsushika Hokusai.
I used Van Gogh’s style of short lines to create my background. On top of the background, I contrasted the variety of blues with the colors neon orange, pink and yellow to contrast this. I college “The Great Wave” in the mouth of the dragon. |
"Cycles" Acrylic Paint on Board. 36" by 24". 2019. |
This represents the cycle of social media culture. The snake and mouse show a cycle. In life the predator eats the prey to survive; it is a cycle that repeats. The cycle of producer and consumer is a similar cycle that never ends in advertising and social media. The mouse is helpless as a victim of the cycle. The purple frame around my artwork represents the cycle we are trapped in. It is a cage or box that defines again, the ongoing cycle.
